Robot Robotic - Gymnastic

Our 101 Tech Video today is about gymnastic robot. I mean robot that can act like gymnast.

Beside the video I show you above, I would like to bring attention to one site that doing the same gymnastic robot tech project.

The objective of the robot tech project is realization of complex and fast motion task is important and attractive area of research. It enhances the mobility of humanoid robots and also contributes to good understanding of motor control of human. Gymnastic motion is included in such interesting motion tasks.

In the study, they focus on nonlinear feedback and feedforward controller for gymnastic robots, which have articulated multi-link structure and highly nonlinear dynamics.

The gymnastic robot can perform jumping, somersault, and back handspring. Back handspring is one of the difficult motion task that has never performed by real machines (and human too).

You can also see the video over there. That’s all for today. Have fun.
