Toilet Paper Folder and Dispenser Prototype

This is a school project by UC Berkeley students.

It is made of lego mindstorms, scissors, and some scrap metal.

Not only does it fold your paper for you, it also cuts it. It would be the perfect accessory for a fancy, high-tech, Japanese bathroom!

This video shows two test runs; the first run works well, while the second one could have gone a little smoother.

Dishmaker - New Technology New Dish Everyday

The dishmaker is a research prototype made with Sam Sarcia and Subodh Paudel for a new kitchen appliance that products different dishes on demand.

MIT Media Lab’s Counter Intelligence Group, which develops innovative kitchen designs, has created a machine that makes dishes on demand and recycles them after diners have finished a meal. The dishes are made from food-grade, nontoxic acrylic wafers, which are shaped into cups, bowls and plates when heated, then resume their original wafer shape when they are reheated and pressed. - http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,1282,69113,00.html -
